Regaco and Bardram Soundproof Gas Stations in Urban Areas
There is a growing interest in running on biogas among companies with large truck fleets. Regaco delivers beautifully designed fueling stations, but among Regaco's customers, there are increasing demands regarding noise from these stations.

Need for Soundproofing
“We needed to find a partner who could not only help us with practical solutions but also map out how much noise our facilities actually produce” explains Jacob Himmelstrup, CEO of Regaco.
The current soundproofing solutions used by Regaco are no longer sufficient, so they needed a deeper understanding of how the noise from their machinery impacts the surroundings.
From Measurement to Implementation – Regaco Halves Noise Levels
“We consulted with some engineering firms, but they couldn’t really offer the full package. At Bardram, we received both measurements and recommendations on how to implement noise reduction. This unique combination was something we didn’t find elsewhere” explains Jacob Himmelstrup.
Bardram was selected as the partner for the project due to their ability to measure noise levels as well as advise on and suggest technical solutions.
“We received a detailed report that not only showed the noise levels but also provided us with practical rules of thumb and suggestions on how to reduce the noise,” says Jacob Himmelstrup, adding, “With Bardram’s solutions, we reduced the noise from around 80 dB to 65-70 dB, effectively cutting the noise level by more than half. This allows us to move closer to residential areas, which is crucial for our business.”

Regaco Moves Closer to the City with Bardram’s Soundproofing Expertise
Through the collaboration with Bardram, Regaco now has a clear understanding of the noise levels from their fueling stations. Work on implementing effective soundproofing solutions has also begun. Regaco now has a solid professional and economic foundation in negotiations with future customers, ensuring that their facilities can be located closer to residential areas without causing disturbances.
With new projects in sight that require even lower noise levels, Regaco expects to continue working with Bardram on future developments.
“We are working on several projects with stringent noise requirements, and Bardram will undoubtedly play a vital role in ensuring we meet these standards” concludes an optimistic CEO.
